Product Description
The SYKES-40 Mechanical Seal is a 40mm replacement sealing solution developed for selected Sykes pump applications. The seal uses a balanced multi-spring construction designed to provide stable sealing performance in demanding dewatering, drainage and industrial pumping environments.
The mechanical seal assembly consists of a rotating seal unit and a separate stationary seat, providing a compact and serviceable design for pump maintenance and overhaul. Wear-resistant seal face materials are available for applications where pumps operate with water containing suspended solids, abrasive particles or other challenging media.
Selected Sykes contractor pump models use 40mm shaft arrangements and balanced multi-spring mechanical seals. Depending on the specific pump configuration, silicon carbide sealing faces can be supplied to provide excellent wear resistance and reliable performance under continuous operating conditions.
