The H7N is a balanced pusher mechanical seal intended for more demanding industrial pump duties than conventional unbalanced designs. Hong Teng manufactures replacement H7N-type seals for selected EagleBurgmann-compatible applications, particularly where the pump uses a stepped shaft and the original seal geometry can be accurately confirmed.
The balanced construction helps reduce hydraulic loading on the seal faces and makes the design suitable for higher-duty process services such as hot water, boiler feed, petrochemical and oil-related applications. Correct replacement requires verification of the shaft step, working length, stationary-seat dimensions, gland arrangement and pressure conditions. Material selection is equally important: face materials and elastomers should be chosen according to temperature, pressure, fluid chemistry and the presence of solids.
For high-temperature water or hydrocarbon service, the seal materials and auxiliary flushing arrangement may be as important as the mechanical dimensions. Customers should therefore provide the old seal, dimensions, pump model or nameplate whenever possible. Hong Teng supplies an independently manufactured replacement; EagleBurgmann and H7N references are used solely to identify compatible applications and do not imply original or authorized supply.
