Product Description
The MFL85N is a balanced metal-bellows mechanical seal used where temperature, viscosity or process conditions make conventional elastomer-based pusher seals less suitable. Hong Teng manufactures replacement MFL85N-type seals for selected EagleBurgmann-compatible applications in petrochemical, oil, gas and chemical-process pumping.
The welded metal bellows provides axial flexibility and transmits torque without relying on a dynamically sliding secondary seal on the shaft. This can be advantageous in hot service, applications where deposits could interfere with O-ring movement, or processes requiring a more robust bellows arrangement. However, the bellows alloy, face materials and static gaskets must all be selected for the actual chemical and temperature conditions.
For replacement, customers should verify shaft diameter, installed working length, stationary-seat geometry and bellows configuration. Metal-bellows seals that look similar may use different bellows lengths, materials or drive arrangements. Photos and detailed measurements are therefore recommended. Hong Teng can provide selected material combinations after technical review. EagleBurgmann and MFL85N references are used only to identify compatible applications; the product is independently manufactured and is not represented as an original EagleBurgmann seal.
