Product Description

The BT-ARP is an elastomer-bellows seal designed for applications where contamination or suspended solids could interfere with an exposed spring. Hong Teng manufactures replacement BT-ARP-type seals for selected EagleBurgmann-compatible pump applications, particularly in wastewater, sludge and other dirty-water services.

A key feature of the reference design is that the spring is protected from direct exposure to the product. This can reduce the risk of deposits, fibers or solids packing around the spring and restricting axial movement. The elastomer bellows also provides the secondary sealing function and allows the rotating assembly to compensate for normal seal-face wear.

For replacement, shaft diameter, working length, seat geometry and the condition of the pumped medium should all be checked. Harder face materials may be appropriate where abrasion is present, while elastomer choice should be based on chemical compatibility and temperature. The protected-spring design does not make the seal suitable for every slurry; solids concentration and particle characteristics still need consideration. Hong Teng supplies the product independently. EagleBurgmann and BT-ARP references are used only for compatible-application identification.
