Product Description
BT-RN is a general-purpose pusher mechanical seal with a rotating conical spring. Hong Teng supplies replacement BT-RN-type seals for selected EagleBurgmann-compatible applications in clean water, cooling water, building services and other standard centrifugal-pump duties.
The design is straightforward and economical, but the conical spring means shaft rotation must be checked before installation. Installing a spring wound for the wrong direction can lead to loosening and premature seal failure. In addition to shaft diameter, the installed working length, stationary-seat dimensions and face combination should be matched to the old seal.
For clean water, conventional carbon/ceramic or carbon/silicon-carbide combinations may be suitable. Chemical or food-industry applications may require different elastomers, face materials or stainless-steel components depending on the process. Final selection should be based on the actual fluid, temperature and pump conditions. Hong Teng manufactures the replacement independently; EagleBurgmann and BT-RN references are used only to identify compatible applications and do not indicate that the seal is original or authorized by EagleBurgmann.
