Low Temperature Pump Mechanical Seal with Six-Hole Flange

Product Name Low Temperature Pump Mechanical Seal
Configuration Flanged seal assembly with a separate annular ring
Mounting Circular six-hole flange
Housing Stepped metal housing
Application Low temperature pump service, subject to dimensional and operating-condition verification
Selection Match by pump reference, drawing, sample and installation dimensions

Product Details

The following details describe the visible configuration and the
information required for replacement matching. Final dimensions,
materials and operating limits must be confirmed for the selected
assembly before ordering.

Flange Configuration Circular flange with six mounting holes. Check the flange outside
diameter, bolt-circle diameter, hole diameter and flange thickness.
Housing Geometry Stepped cylindrical housing. Compare the locating diameters,
step depths and available installation space with the original
seal arrangement.
Separate Ring A separate annular ring is shown in the product photographs.
Confirm its inside diameter, outside diameter, thickness,
seating arrangement and function against the assembly drawing.
Shaft and Axial Fit Verify the pump shaft or shaft-sleeve dimensions, working length
and axial positioning requirements. Do not select the seal by
flange diameter alone.
Material Configuration Seal-face, housing, sleeve and secondary-seal materials require
confirmation for the specified fluid and temperature range.
Component colour is not a material specification.
Operating Information Provide the pumped fluid, minimum and maximum operating
temperatures, seal-chamber pressure, shaft speed and operating
cycle for application review.
Pump Compatibility Confirm using the complete pump model, original seal reference
and installation drawing where available. Similar appearance
does not establish interchangeability.

Product Description

This low temperature pump mechanical seal features a
circular six-hole flange, a stepped metal housing and a separate annular
ring. These visible features provide useful reference points when
comparing an existing pump seal with a replacement assembly.

A mechanical seal controls leakage where a rotating shaft passes through
a stationary pump housing. Successful replacement requires more than a
similar external appearance: the mounting dimensions, shaft arrangement,
seal components and operating conditions must be checked together.

When reviewing this flanged assembly, compare the flange diameter,
mounting-hole pattern, locating steps, installation length and separate
ring dimensions with the existing equipment. The complete pump reference
and any original seal drawings are also useful for identifying the
correct configuration.

Application

Low Temperature Pump Service

This flanged mechanical seal assembly is intended for low temperature
pump applications where the original equipment uses a matching seal
arrangement. It can be reviewed for maintenance replacement and spare
part identification by comparing the existing seal, pump information
and installation dimensions.

The six-hole flange is only one identification feature. The housing
location, shaft fit, axial dimensions, ring arrangement and material
configuration must also match the requirements of the pump.

How to Confirm the Correct Replacement

  1. Provide the equipment reference.
Send the pump nameplate, complete pump model, original seal number
and any available parts list or assembly drawing.
  2. Measure the installation dimensions.
Record the shaft or sleeve diameter, flange outside diameter,
bolt-circle diameter, mounting-hole diameter, locating steps and
    installation length.
  3. Compare the separate components.
Provide clear photographs of both sides of the assembly and measure
the separate ring’s inside diameter, outside diameter and thickness.
  4. Confirm the operating conditions.
Specify the fluid, operating temperature range, seal-chamber
pressure, shaft speed and any special service requirements.

Application and Compatibility Notice

The description “low temperature pump mechanical seal” does not by
itself establish suitability for a particular fluid, cryogenic duty
or temperature and pressure rating. Confirm the exact material
configuration and application requirements before installation.
This page does not claim compatibility with an unverified pump brand
or model.

Can the Seal Be Identified Without a Model Number?

A missing model number does not prevent an identification review.
Clear photographs, an old sample, measured dimensions and equipment
information can help narrow down the configuration. A photograph
alone, however, is not sufficient to confirm an interchangeable
replacement.
