Product Description
The M74-D is a dual mechanical seal arrangement derived from the M7 family and intended for services where a single seal may not provide the required containment or lubrication. Hong Teng supplies replacement M74-D-type seals for selected EagleBurgmann-compatible applications after the complete installation is checked. The reference arrangement uses multiple rotating springs and a dual seal configuration that can operate with an appropriate buffer or barrier-fluid system.
Because this is a dual seal, correct identification requires more than measuring the shaft diameter. The product-side and atmospheric-side seal faces, installed length, gland arrangement, connection ports and barrier/buffer system all need to be checked. The selected secondary seals and face materials should also be compatible with both the process liquid and the auxiliary fluid.
M74-D-type seals are particularly relevant for hazardous, toxic, poorly lubricating or higher-value process liquids where improved containment is desired. The auxiliary system and operating philosophy should be confirmed by the pump or plant engineer before use. Hong Teng manufactures the replacement independently; EagleBurgmann and M74-D references are used only to identify compatible seal applications and do not indicate original-manufacturer supply.
