Product Description
The MG1 is one of the most widely recognized elastomer-bellows mechanical seal formats for pumps. Hong Teng manufactures replacement MG1-type seals for selected EagleBurgmann-compatible applications, covering common pump-repair requirements in water, wastewater, circulation and general industrial service.
The rotating elastomer bellows performs both a secondary sealing and compensating function, which reduces the need for a dynamic O-ring sliding directly on the shaft. This simple and proven construction is useful in many standard pump installations. Nevertheless, an MG1-type seal should not be selected only by shaft diameter. The correct working length, stationary seat, face dimensions and material combination all need to match the existing installation.
Hong Teng can provide different face combinations such as carbon/ceramic, carbon/silicon carbide or silicon carbide/silicon carbide, together with suitable elastomers for the process liquid. Selection should consider temperature, chemical compatibility, abrasiveness and whether the pump handles clean or contaminated media. Customers are encouraged to send the old seal, measurements or pump model for confirmation. EagleBurgmann and MG1 references are used only to identify compatible applications; Hong Teng products are independently manufactured replacements and are not represented as original EagleBurgmann seals.
