Product Description

The MG9 is a balanced elastomer-bellows seal family designed for pump applications that benefit from reduced hydraulic loading on the seal faces. Hong Teng supplies replacement MG9-type seals for selected EagleBurgmann-compatible applications in water, oil, chemical and general industrial service.

Because the MG9 family can be encountered in different metric or inch configurations and with different spring arrangements, the exact existing seal should be inspected before replacement. Important identification points include shaft diameter, overall working length, seat dimensions, spring style and face geometry. The bellows and secondary-seal material must also be compatible with the pumped fluid.

Balanced construction can make this family useful in more demanding duties than common unbalanced bellows seals, but the actual pressure and temperature capability depends on the selected materials, seal size, pump design and operating conditions. For abrasive liquids, harder face combinations may be appropriate; for oils, chemicals or temperature-sensitive fluids, elastomer selection becomes particularly important.
