The M7N is an industrial pusher mechanical seal used in a broad range of process-pump applications. Hong Teng manufactures replacement M7N-type seals for customers who need an alternative for maintenance, repair or equipment refurbishment. The reference design uses a Super-Sinus spring arrangement and is suitable for plain shafts, making it a practical choice for many chemical, process and utility pumps.
When replacing an existing M7N-type seal, the correct match should be confirmed from the complete seal geometry rather than the model name alone. Important dimensions include shaft diameter, installed working length, stationary-seat dimensions and the drive arrangement. The seal-face pair and elastomer also need to suit the actual fluid, temperature and cleanliness of the service.
For clean water and light process duties, standard face combinations may be sufficient. For abrasive liquids, chemicals or more demanding industrial service, harder face materials such as silicon carbide or tungsten carbide may be required. Hong Teng can manufacture the replacement in selected material combinations after application details are reviewed.
